Dudley can really bring the hurt if you know how to combo up and confuse with those dodging punches. Great match! Good to see Ken lose one every once in a while.
Yeah that's Kokujin. After the end of the match he actually says, "Who said this guy is good? He sucks!" LoL. Anyway, Kokujin knocked out Daigo and went on to win the Ranbat. He Also knocked out Nuki earlier. He's just too beastly!
Your insane. Tyson was one of the greatest heavyweights, if not fighters of all time. He had amazing skill all around, he was quick, he had almost in-human power in his punches, and was one tough bastard. The only real downfall was when he lost to Buster Douglas, and then the whole holyfeild thing but by that time he was already quite old/insane. He's washed-up because he got old, he never really sucked at any point.
Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard. The game takes place one year after Street Fighter 4. Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game he's searching for a rose. There's a new gameplay system called Tadan Saving, the phrase implies a multi-hitting or multiple-level Focus Attack. The console characters are all said to be added to the upcoming arcade release, with the possible exceptions of Seth and Gouken.
Ok...but they ARE Street Fighter characters. They were both in the Alpha series along with Rolento (a Final Fight leader). And Hugo (another Final Fight character) was also a Street Fighter character and was in SF3-3rd Strike.
Mike Tyson in his prime wasn't a real boxer. He was an unskilled brawler, like Kimbo Slice. He just hit so hard, that's why he won so much. Dudley is a more refined boxer brings the class while he whoops ass. He's like Appolo Creed and Muhammad Ali combined with pure upper class awesome. Yeah, some characters from 3 should have been in. My vote for Dudley, Makoto, Sean and Alex
This is what else I heard: All characters will have two Ultras. They will both be available at one time, not selectable like with Third Strike's Super Arts. The commands to execute your Ultras do not overlap. It sounds like the characters from Third Strike are set up with their prior Super Arts. They had three in that game, so one will be their Super and the other two their Ultras. Gen has four Ultras because of his two fighting styles. One of these is said to be an Air Ultra.
Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo. Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras. Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony. Guy has his Chain combos. Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike.
Some characters will have Air Ultras. The Bonus Stages will be returning. This will be an exclusive arcade release at least for a few months. An official announcement is said to be coming at the Tokyo Game Show and on the Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog soon. Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken. You'll see the return of Chun-Li's Kikosho (Super Fireball), Gouken's Denjin, Sagat's Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball) Ibuki has a run command.
Yes. 8 ORIGINAL characters plus the 2 new ones. Juri, who is a South Korean Tae Kwon Do martial arts expert(considered as Seths Henchman) and Hakan, who is an Arab Grappler obsessed with oil. Not sure if he is a good or bad guy. The only other thing I heard about him is that he will most likely either be from Turkey or Lebanon. But he is definitely a new character and will be in the game.
Most chars were too young. Remember, in SF IV, Mel (ken's son) wasn't even born yet, but in SF III he had started training and had grown some already (maybe 6-8). Most of the new chars were late secondary (highschool) early university, so this would have made them kids. Dudley could have made it, but the resident boxer had the monoply.
@MaceAce7 I don't know. I mean, with the jacket flying to him I always used to imagine that the jacket would be saying something like "Master you won", and Dudley would be like "Don't worry babes I'm here in one piece"
Did I say they were officially confirmed, yet? NO! But let's just say that it's pretty much in the bag. The new characters will be Cody, Guy, Adon, Juri, Hakan, T-Hawk, Dee Jay, Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto.
Fast, strong, tough (!) Skill Holyfield was older than Tyson... Holyfield somehow managed to keep it above the waist and win. That's because Holyfield is a real boxer.
I know but Ono has said getting Final Fight characters are really tough to get so we will see. Hugo was a final fight character but Ono said he is no longer one.
@gameboyredpee It's called placeholders. Sometimes video game companies have placeholder voices for trailers (just to have a voice then), and later get the actual actor. Not saying SSFIV's Dudley voice is just a placeholder though. We don't know.
To clarify, he may have been one of the best, but just because he loses against another good players doesn't mean he was feeling "ill" that day. Ofcourse, he's also gotten rusty, but Kokujin is one of the best players I've seen on these youtube vids. I also guess that he's been keeping up with the play. Don't denounce other good players.
you understand me man im not talking about him being filipino... because i am one too! what i am trying to say is that americans decide who is number one and ofcourse they broadcast to the world that an american boxer is the best... that an american guitarist is the best..
Umehara (family name) Daigo (first name) he is commonly known as Umehara in japan. Japanese tend to be calling friends by their family name and its not something unusual. So does the beast lose a game sometime.
I wouldn't say that for a second, Mike Tyson certainly was a skilled Boxer, perhaps not as skilled as one that Dudley is supposed to imitate, but that, combined with his ridiculous strength makes him a true force to be reckoned with. I understand what you're saying, and I understand how Dudley could appeal to someone, but I just don't like him. As you could probably tell from my choice (Q), I like those unusual characters, that, when you win, you leave the other player thinking "What the hell?
Do you know how old this video is? The date is posted in the info section. Daigo also isn't THE #1 3s player, there are many other players that are good too, such as Kokujin. That guys is usually referred to as the best Dudley player. You should look at everything before making such short sighted comments.
how u figure? A big difference between 2 and 3 are the parries. They might have to change some of his move properties to conpensate, and then theres his juggles. And honestly i dont see them leting him keep them. I hope he doesnt suck, but at the same time i hope he isnt broken. I cant wait to see what he looks like in sf4.
I don't know what you're talking about. How are they tough to get? What do you mean by that? And how is Hugo no longer a Final Fight character? What are you talking about? Hugo was a boss in the Final Fight series! All three Final Fight games Hugo was in. Then he joined the SF tournament and became a good guy. He is looking for a tag team partner so they can win wrestling championships. That's Hugos storyline
You can't only give half the rule and say it's bad I before E, execpt after C Or if it's "ay", as in neighbor or weigh That's the whole rule, and explain's most of the examples given. There's still 6 or so exceptions in the language.
First of all, I disagree, lol. Boxer is meant to be Mike Tyson in his prime, and I personally don't think Mike Tyson could lose to someone like Dudley... Anyway, Yeah, I agree about the adding characters. I miss Q :`(
Ps-Since the game is still very much in development, and assuming these details are legit, a lot could still change, just like Abel's Super/Ultra move did in the original Street Fighter 4.
you got a thumbs down cos people on youtube are silly like that. and i don't know why he enters as Umehara, but his SF4 ID is like that as well. I guess he prefers his last name for identification.
its mindgames vs mindgames. its all a matter of spacing and punishing at the end of the round. Diago played that match safely with safing but kept getting punished by devestating corkscrew combos. There's just no getting past getting punished. to look me up in brawl though just type in search " Rule 34 Captain Falcon " I dont have tourney matches up yet. I just got a capture card for myself on xmas. I'll have some up in like feb though Friendlies are just as good when your CFalcon though lol
Yeah, but who's the greater champion? Who has the more title defenses? Who was the most wins/KO's? Come one, your insane if your trying to deny the greatness that was Mike Tyson, the was HANDS DOWN the second greatest HW next to Ali.
manny pacquiao is the best boxer of all time if only he wasnt asian and americans decide the who the greatest in their list is... he won 5 differnt divisions and is the fastest most destructive boxer both with right and left arms
Yeah.... Although, it's clear to me as to why they didn't add these characters. I love SF3, but I'll put it this way: As a Street Fighter, I think this game somewhat fails, as it completely doesn't fit with the rest of the series (Parrying, all the different characters, etc...), however, as a Fighting Game, SF3 kicks ass. That's why they didn't add those characters...they weren't "Classics", and they wanted, at least IMO to make SF4 more like SF2.
Nobody cares. Yun appeared in SFA3 even though he was probably 10 years old when that took place. Capcom doesn't give a shit about the story in games, in fact Dudley is rumored to be in the upcoming SF4 Dash.
Now we see. Dudley truly can own. It is fighters like these that proves why SFIII is the pinnacle of the SF series.
Love the way he puts his jacket on at the end!
Nothing will ever defeat the satisfying sound of a parry.
Dudley can really bring the hurt if you know how to combo up and confuse with those dodging punches. Great match! Good to see Ken lose one every once in a while.
He is being added to Super Street Fighter IV, along with Ibuki and Makoto. Finally both boxers in the same title!
Kokujin showed Daigo way too much respect in this match.
Beautiful backswing to end the first round.
Yeah that's Kokujin. After the end of the match he actually says, "Who said this guy is good? He sucks!" LoL. Anyway, Kokujin knocked out Daigo and went on to win the Ranbat. He Also knocked out Nuki earlier. He's just too beastly!
It's funny how people at the time bashed all of nudist77 comments about the features that would end up being on SSFIV.
Your insane.

Nice fucking low parry from Kokujin. Totally out of the blue. Good hit confirm off a single c. LP too.
Who’s high at 230AM in 2022 watching Kokujin/Daigo matches?
(I am)

Teirs < skill. end of arguement.

Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Proof that even a god is not invincible.
I'm surprised Ken didn't get whacked at 1:15, these two player's where kinda scared to go head to head it seems (^o^)
because he enters tournaments under the name Umehara, which is usually written in katakana. I guess if he entered as Daigo it would be kanji
Dudley vs Boxer would have been great to see none the less.
I like Q too. SF3 had so many great characters.

Can't you see the display on the screen show the name of Umehara and Kokujin?
Daigo is psychic but Kokujin is wearing magneto's helmet. Great match!
at the end of the video i think he's saying
"WTF WHO EMPTY JUMPS INTO CROUCHING SHORT SUPER"
Did I say they were officially confirmed, yet? NO! But let's just say that it's pretty much in the bag. The new characters will be Cody, Guy, Adon, Juri, Hakan, T-Hawk, Dee Jay, Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto.
Fast, strong, tough (!) Skill
Holyfield was older than Tyson...
Holyfield somehow managed to keep it above the waist and win. That's because Holyfield is a real boxer.
Oh. Sorry, my mistake. Some people said he's Tan, and some people said he's native! :o
oh daigo, you know better than to chill in the corner when facing dudz
I know but Ono has said getting Final Fight characters are really tough to get so we will see. Hugo was a final fight character but Ono said he is no longer one.
@gameboyredpee

Not saying SSFIV's Dudley voice is just a placeholder though. We don't know.
Alpha is ok, but 3S is untouchable.
I think everyone does. A shame no SF3 characters made it to SF4. Dudley would have been a shoe in for that.
Of course, he would probably crush boxer.
Of course! It's Kokujin, that's why =D
Man, I'm glad they don't have normals build meter in SF4. So much running away to punch the air.
Daigo brought kicks to a fist fight.
this made me rethink some of my Dudley tactics, though he was a jumpy Dudley and I dont like jumping at ken or ryu players that often.
@0:41 "Babaca!!!" Agora eu ri UAHSuAHsuh
Dudley straight owned that Ken..it pays to keep it classy ;)
To clarify, he may have been one of the best, but just because he loses against another good players doesn't mean he was feeling "ill" that day. Ofcourse, he's also gotten rusty, but Kokujin is one of the best players I've seen on these youtube vids. I also guess that he's been keeping up with the play. Don't denounce other good players.
it sounds pretty official to me, just look at a dudley trailers. why would they change it again?
you understand me man im not talking about him being filipino... because i am one too! what i am trying to say is that americans decide who is number one and ofcourse they broadcast to the world that an american boxer is the best... that an american guitarist is the best..
Umehara (family name) Daigo (first name)
he is commonly known as Umehara in japan.
Japanese tend to be calling friends by their family name and its not something unusual. So does the beast lose a game sometime.
where the hell you getting your info from?
none of the people you claim (besides the ones that have already been confirmed) have been confirmed.
Lol yeah the whoopee thing was what I ment apparently the MK guy yells out TOASTY lol.
couldnt imagine what dudleys special clothes would look like
often used to taunt the opponent to parry so you can grab him
I wouldn't say that for a second, Mike Tyson certainly was a skilled Boxer, perhaps not as skilled as one that Dudley is supposed to imitate, but that, combined with his ridiculous strength makes him a true force to be reckoned with. It is strange laughter of KOKUJIN.
Sometimes katakana is used to represent words that are alternate meanings.
Do you know how old this video is? The date is posted in the info section. Daigo also isn't THE #1 3s player, there are many other players that are good too, such as Kokujin. That guys is usually referred to as the best Dudley player. You should look at everything before making such short sighted comments.
@Gercksid Sweet. Time to break out the mustache comb.
Adon is also in the game which is going to be cool. He has some pretty good moves.
wait a sec. they said 8, including T-hawk,DJ, and juri
thats 10. and who the hell is hakan
how u figure? A big difference between 2 and 3 are the parries. They might have to change some of his move properties to conpensate, and then theres his juggles. And honestly i dont see them leting him keep them. I hope he doesnt suck, but at the same time i hope he isnt broken. I cant wait to see what he looks like in sf4.
@egg64 The only problem now is that people just spam fireballs to build meter, and if you don't have one you're shit out of luck.
"I before E except after C" is flat-out not true. "Protein". "Rein". "Reign". "Beige". "Heinous".
Dudley should of have been a guest in facebreaker :)
@Darkeh112 Yeah but the Sf4 Supers work just like Sf3 Supers, Ultras are totally different...
Don't forget "leisure".
The flower one is still pretty cool i mean he punches the flower comes out its stylish lol
maybe he likes it that way... sometimes you'll see "Daigo" in kanji... it just depends on where he goes.
I believe you. My friend heard the same thing from his uncle.
I kinda want to see him play Smash Bros Brawl.
That may be interesting.
You can't only give half the rule and say it's bad
I before E, execpt after C
Or if it's "ay", as in neighbor or weigh
That's the whole rule, and explain's most of the examples given. There's still 6 or so exceptions in the language.
But think of all the pretty character designs and concept art!
perhaps that isn't his official voice
why does dudley throw the rose? whats the point of that move?
Tier is who people mainly choose for class strats other than that, skill comes to play for low tiers,ex. necro ftw!!!
the psp version of street fighter alpha 3 says cheap. it flashes on screen. I'm not sure about the others.
black men are gifted.
@Fusionx916
Maybe he prefers the way it looks in katakana.
I was eluding to Holyfield kicking Tyson's ass.
First of all, I disagree, lol. Boxer is meant to be Mike Tyson in his prime, and I personally don't think Mike Tyson could lose to someone like Dudley...
Anyway, Yeah, I agree about the adding characters. I miss Q :`(

you got a thumbs down cos people on youtube are silly like that. and i don't know why he enters as Umehara, but his SF4 ID is like that as well. I guess he prefers his last name for identification.
who would win: Balrog or Dudley?
Really, because some people say he's Native and is born in England...
Oh well if that was what you were originally implying then many apologies my friend.
its mindgames vs mindgames.
its all a matter of spacing and punishing at the end of the round.
Diago played that match safely with safing but kept getting punished by devestating corkscrew combos.
There's just no getting past getting punished.

Come one, your insane if your trying to deny the greatness that was Mike Tyson, the was HANDS DOWN the second greatest HW next to Ali.
SF4 tech is before 3 so he would be appearing for the first time
He does that in a lot of his matches . I'm just about to start seeing if that can be used by other characters.
excellent throw fake by dudley in the first round
The only resemblance is that they're both african american with boxing gloves!
manny pacquiao is the best boxer of all time if only he wasnt asian and americans decide the who the greatest in their list is... he won 5 differnt divisions and is the fastest most destructive boxer both with right and left arms
He's a pak born in the UK.
Dudley is King.
Also at 1:23 it sounds like somebody yelled TOASTY.
according to story dudley and boxer actually had a match and dudley won.
Yeah....
Although, it's clear to me as to why they didn't add these characters. I love SF3, but I'll put it this way:

word, I hate that too
i have no chance for some great combo's, they wait all the time then bam I'm out
Nobody cares. Yun appeared in SFA3 even though he was probably 10 years old when that took place. Capcom doesn't give a shit about the story in games, in fact Dudley is rumored to be in the upcoming SF4 Dash.
yo, shout outs to meter building.
